FUN SUMMER ACTIVITIES

We say summer hello! The time for wonderful and fun summer activities and family excursions is here. Creating memories together by being outdoors, enjoying beautiful weather and exploring the world together is unbeatable.

Summer Activities: GO TO THE LOCAL MARKET

Most cities have one or more local food markets each week. It is fun for children to explore different fruits and vegetables and all its exciting colors and scents. It not only increases the interest in tasting and trying different dishes. In addition, it can show the value of buying organic and locally produced food.

Summer Activities: HAVE A PICNIC IN THE PARK

A park is usually a quiet and safe place for children to run around and play in. They can then climb the trees, play on the playgrounds and explore animals and nature around. Bring a picnic and a blanket and enjoy the surroundings together.

ENJOY A COFFEE AT YOUR FAVORITE CAFÉ

Bring the family to your favorite café and enjoy a good coffee on the outdoor terrace, while you have quality time together. Do not forget to bring the coloring book or some fun games for your little one to have fun and entertain with.

HIKE AND DISCOVER THE FOREST

Hiking is a great way to discover the world together, while being active. You move and get exercise. In addition, all of nature’s impressions positively affect the baby’s senses. And with a good sling , the little one can easily snooze and sleep soundly when he or she gets tired.

Summer Activities: MEET ANIMALS ON A FARM

Watching animals is perhaps one of young children’s biggest interests. The rose, e.g., of their sounds and often learns early to imitate them. Find and contact a local farm to visit. Then they can watch, meet and learn about different kinds of animals.

EXPLORE THE UNDERWATER LIFE OF AN AQUARIUM

The sea is fascinating to say the least. In an aquarium, you can explore all the colorful fish together: everything from tropical clownfish to the Swedish cod: and among other things learn more about the depths of the sea.

Summer Activities: RENT A BOAT OR CANOE

Put on your skipper’s hat and shout ship and bike. Boating is a fun way to discover the surroundings from a different perspective. Do not forget the life jacket only!

RELAX ON THE BEACH AND PRACTICE SWIMMING

Bring the kids and family to the beach. There they can play around in the sand, build sand castles and dip their feet in the water. Slightly older children can also practice swimming and swimming in the sea. Make sure the children are wearing sunscreen and keep an eye on them as a parent.

HOLD A TREASURE HUNT

It takes a bit of preparation, but a treasure hunt is a fun all-day activity for the whole family. Make a map with clues that lead to the great treasure.

Summer Activities: PAINT OUTDOORS

Bring crayons, pencils, or paint and brushes and bring out your creative side. Find beautiful motifs outdoors, or use your imagination. It is a good way to encourage creativity and thus develop the child’s cognitive development.

BORROW BOOKS AND READ TOGETHER

Go to the library and borrow your favorite children’s books. Sit together in a park and enjoy all the fantastic stories. They become even more exciting when you can explore the world around you at the same time.

PICK UP TRASH AND TEACH YOUR KIDS ABOUT RECYCLING

It may not sound like the most fun activity to do, but helping and picking up rubbish is important for our environment. It also teaches children about recycling and taking environmental responsibility. Many organizations organize special garbage collection days in cities and along beaches.

Summer Activities: ARRANGE AN OBSTACLE COURSE

An obstacle course is a good way to play together, while encouraging logical thinking and problem-solving. It is also a good physical activity for both big and small.

DO GARDENING AT HOME: OR VISIT A PUBLIC GARDEN

Choose your favorite plants together, buy seeds and plant. Or go to a public garden together. The children will both find it fun to see all the flowers and plants and play in the garden. It is also a good opportunity to teach children more about nature, the environment and all the wonders of science.

PICK BERRIES ON A SELF-PICK

Going to a self-pick and picking berries is a good activity in many ways. You must not just be out in the sun together and socialize. Afterward, you also have lots of good berries to enjoy. Win-win!

Summer Activities: BAKE TOGETHER

Baking is not just a fun activity to do with the kids. It also awakens all the senses: look, smell, listen, feel and taste. Baking thus encourages imagination, self-confidence, and creativity. In this way, it can make a positive contribution to the child’s mental development.
